While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Mark 5:35-36 (NKJ) See the whole story from verse 22 -43
This is a story of a desperate man who came to the Lord Jesus, for healing of his dying daughter. He did not send a messenger but came by himself. He came and fell at the feet of Jesus and asked him to come to his house and heal his daughter (see v 22 –23), who was at point of death; he wanted the Lord Jesus to hurry, to get there before she died. But as they journeyed with the Lord toward his house, the daughter died and a messenger came to tell him not to bother the Master any longer, because it was over – she is dead (see v-35). According to men, yes, it was over, yes; she was dead, but not according to God. Listen, I don’t care what seems dead and impossible in your life. God is with you to show Himself strong in your behalf, over your dead and impossible situations. Just believe and expect a miracle. The Bible declares “For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37, NKJ)
When the Lord Jesus heard the word that was spoken, by the messenger who came from Jairus’s house; He said to Jarius ” Be not afraid, only believe”. MK.36. (KJV) Do you know that fear opens doors for doubt and unbelief? Even brings torment. That is why the Lord Jesus said “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”
Fear opens doors for the devil not for God. Fear destroys people. Fear is not of God. The Bible declares over 360 times “fear not” or “Don’t be afraid”. II Tim.1: 7. Says “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Don’t be afraid, only believe. Your miracles are on the way. Amen?
